Cambodia Launches Circular Strategy on Environment 2023-2028

Cambodia's Green Future: Minister's Vision at climate forum

Cambodia has developed and Implemented a long-term development strategy aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Furthermore, the Minister of Environment reaffirmed Cambodia's commitment, made after COP28, to increase its use of renewable energy to 70% by 2030 through the ASEAN Green Deal Initiative for the Future.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cambodia Green Building Council (CamGBC) to advance green building initiatives in Cambodia, launching local rating and financing schemes. The partnership aims to transform the building industry into a more environmentally responsible sector, supporting Cambodia's efforts to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability in line with government initiatives.
